Sydney's eastern suburbs this weekend will be aglitter with antique and designer furniture, sculpture, porcelain, glass and silver, with several auctioneers airing their wares. And among the small fry is a collection of British bobbies' truncheons and trayfuls of trinkets you would normally expect to find at London's Portobello Road or Camden Passage collectables markets.
